Q: What is CBD?

Q: What is the right controlled serving size?

A: The rule of thumb is to start with a low serving size or milligram intake and increase slowly until optimum effects are reached.

Q: What are the most effective delivery methods?

A: The bioavailability of CBD varies greatly depending on the administration method. Studies have shown bioavailability of up to 40% when inhaled, and 6% when ingested. However, other studies suggest bioavailability with transdermal or oromucosal administration to be much higher.

Q: Is CBD legal?

A: Hemp-derived CBD-rich dietary extracts are fully legal in all 50 states. The legality of CBD from hemp is based on a 2004 unanimous ruling by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which determined that the DEA “cannot regulate naturally-occurring THC not contained within or derived from marijuana, i.e., non-psychoactive hemp is not included in Schedule I.
